Reward - Service, works
Difficult Passages
Many of the verses that deal with insecurity
have to do with who is a real believer. Some of the passages
deal with rewards rather than salvation.
Losing your reward
1 Corinthians 3:14-15
If what he has built survives,
he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss;
he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
Losing Fellowship
1 John 1:6-7
If we claim to have fellowship
with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all
sin.
Unfruitfulness
John 15:2
He cuts off every branch
in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes
so that it will be even more fruitful.
Chastizement
1 Corinthians 11:29
For anyone who eats and
drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment
on himself.
1 John 5:16
If anyone sees his brother
commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give
him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death.
There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should
pray about that.
Salvation is a gift from God.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world
that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not
perish but have eternal life.

Galatians 3:1
You foolish Galatians!
Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly
portrayed as crucified.
John 5:24
I tell you the truth, whoever
hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not
be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
John 6:37
All that the Father gives
me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.
Romans 8:29-30
For those God foreknew
he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he
might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined,
he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified,
he also glorified.
